This is a great opportunity to join a well-respected community legal and social welfare agency for young people and play your part in helping young people and their families to get their lives back on track! YAC has a multidisciplinary team delivering services across the greater Brisbane area generally, to young people aged 10-18 years who are involved in, or at risk of involvement in the youth justice and/or child protection systems, and/or are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The Family Support Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of YAC’s family support program. The program provides targeted family support to vulnerable families and their children. In particular to provide family support to reduce harm, or risk of harm, to children and young people, and prevent crises or problems within families from arising or escalating and stabilise or maintain family wellbeing, particularly for young people engaged in, or at risk of engagement in the youth justice system.

YAC has an expectation that all staff will be reliable and punctual, both within the office and in responding to young people and their families, and that they will support diversity and respect in the work place and in their practice.
