Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation delivering primary and clinical health care services to the Aboriginal people in Katherine and surrounding communities. Wurli prides itself on delivering a range of health services to the community in a style and manner that makes clients fell welcome and comfortable. Services include acute and general care, chronic disease, men's health, alcohol and other drugs, social and emotional wellbeing and client support services.

The Mental Health and Social & Emotional (SEWB) Coordinator role is responsible for the establishment, delivery, monitoring review and reporting in relation to a range of programs including Social Emotional and Wellbeing program, Mental Health Services in Rural and Remote Areas MHSRRA.

This position will ensure culturally appropriate services are designed and delivered in accordance with the varying project agreements and will be responsible for management of the service team in accordance with policies, procedures, standards, contracts and legislation.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree in Nursing / Social Services / Sciences or equivalent or
  • Graduate Diploma in Community Sector Management or equivalent or an Allied Health Professional
  • An ability and commitment to supervise and lead a small team
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and culture, including issues effecting communities
  • Current National Police Records Check and Working with Children’s Clearance
  • Current Northern Territory Driver’s License
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
