THE ROLE

WSSSA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and values driven leader to join our State-wide Responses team. The Program Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and coordination across the Domestic Violence Crisis Line, Safe at Home and Specialist CALD DFV Services. These essential programs provide crisis intake, case management and outreach responses to alleviate the effects of domestic and family violence.

This is a full time position that will promote and maintain a healthy and productive workplace through positive leadership, effective delegation of work and transparent and consistent decision making.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this position you will have significant leadership experience with a proven ability to manage multiple, complex teams including those that participate in shift work and remote working arrangements. Other key requirement include:

  • A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers;
  • Experience in developing, and implementing program plans for people affected by domestic and family violence;
  • Understanding of risk and safety management strategies for people who have experienced DFV
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse range of marginalised and highly vulnerable people including First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people;
  • Significant experience in managing people, from recruitment through to performance management.
  • A current full Australian drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
