Canberra Community Law is a leading not for profit community legal centre in the ACT and its region committed to social justice and human rights. We are seeking an experienced Full Time Solicitor with litigation experience to primarily work in our Housing Law service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with at least 2 years post admission experience to work in CCL’s legal practice which is at the forefront of human rights litigation in the ACT. We are looking for a Solicitor with demonstrated interest and experience in Tribunal and courtroom advocacy to join a team committed to making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged people.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing duty lawyer services at the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT);
  • Carrying a human rights litigation casework load in the Residential Tenancies jurisdiction of ACAT; and
  • Supervising and teaching clinical law students.
