Regeneration Project Officer

Werribee River Association

The Werribee River Association is really excited to be able to welcome a new member to its team! We are a small but growing organisation, with 40 years of expertise to enhance the whole of the Werribee River catchment, with a focus on water quality and human health.

Significant community benefit has been achieved through our advocacy, education, research, community engagement, scientific work and collaborations with business and community. Our future business plans are to strengthen our environmental and social impact and to widen our focus over time. We are certainly looking for the right person to support our growth.

As the successful applicant you will:

  • Provide leadership for both systemic and practical land and waterways restoration within the Werribee River catchment.
  • Be comfortable collating ecological research and writing a report to support the management and development of restoration and community projects.
  • Support community volunteers to undertake community planting days and stewardship of our natural environment.
  • Deliver educational sessions that support greater participation and awareness of the values of waterways health and related topics.
  • Liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders including business, government, and community representatives.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to build partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience, commitment, and passion in restorative work.
  • Have initiative and drive, and be able to work from home when required. (Note: we have a small office in Wyndham Vale.)

Please review the position description and our website for further information about us, and the role, to see if it is the right fit for you.

We are happy to take your inquiry, and our contact details are in the position description.
