Head Barista - Little Things Café

The position

This role is responsible to manage the day to day operations of the Little Things Café concerning all things coffee.  Ensuring excellent Knowledge of Specialty Coffee presentation and service delivery, adequate staffing and compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements.

This role acts as the daily face of Little Things Café and brings to life a great environment as well as embodying and communicating the bigger story behind Little Things Café and Change Coffee.

Some of the Key Accountabilities include:

  • Opening/ closing coffee machine and café
  • Beverage stations stocked
  • Delivering fast, clean, accurate service
  • Ensuring excellent consistency of quality
  • Coffee supply stock rotation/ordering supplies
  • Training new staff in procedures
  • Delegation of service required
  • Working with the POS system

Who we’re looking for 

You will have previous hospitality or deli experience coupled with;

  • Excellent customer service
  • Café point of sale and inventory systems
  • Food and drink preparation
  • Front of house duties
  • Flexibility, the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

The selection process

For your information, the interviews will start immediately, and the role may be filled before the closing date.

This role is a casual position and will be based at Little Things Cafe in Blackburn, Victoria. We trade Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3pm, and on Saturday from 8am to 2pm. With a possibility of opening on Sundays in the future.
