This position will report to the Manager, Fragile States - Humanitarian & Emergency Affairs (FS-HEA) Team. We are seeking a Country Impact Manager (CIM) with contextual and technical expertise to lead World Vision Australia (WVA)’s relationship with World Vision Field Office/s (FOs) including overseeing the performance of a portfolio of projects and communicate the impact of our programming work to Australian supporters.  

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:

• Strategic engagement with World Vision FOs and implementation partners, including design, evaluation & stand-up of grant projects, as appropriate;
• Strategic engagement with FOs in forums such as Strategy Support Teams (SST) as required; 
• When applicable, engage and influence the relevant Country Strategy Implementation Plan (CSIP) development and associated processes to support FOs and promote, where appropriate the CSIP, alignment with WVA strategic priorities, as appropriate;
• When applicable, actively contribute to the Program Capacity Performance Review for the FOs within the portfolio;
• Ensure portfolio is fully compliant with donor requirements and effectively managed, establishing a strong partnership with institutional donors, partner agencies, corporates, individual supporters and major-donors;
• Support WVA acquisition of institutional and non-institutional grants;
• Support CIMs from other teams to respond to Category-I and Category-II humanitarian/emergencies through a “buddy system” and training;
• Lead Category-III humanitarian/emergency responses within the assigned region;
• Manage Australia’s contributions to the management of the World Food Programme (WFP) funded projects within the portfolio;
• Actively understand the action FO is taking on WV and DFAT policies on safeguarding, source the FO annual Safeguarding Incidence Preparedness Plan (SIPP), and monitor the associated implementation work plan. Also, provide inputs where possible to WVA’s annual Safeguarding Update Report.
• Collaboration with key internal stakeholders including Field Impact, Marketing, Private Funding and Retail to contribute to the delivery of WVA Strategic Plan, to coordinate engagement with Field Offices and be called on for contextual and technical support;

The role will be required to build collaborative relationships across WVA and the World Vision Partnership, engage and support several internal and external stakeholders to support WVA’s evolution as an Impact Business.

Your skills and experience will include:

• First experience working in fragile countries managing humanitarian operations
• Demonstrated understanding and adherence to Humanitarian Principles, Red Cross/Red Crescent Code of Conduct, Sphere Minimum Standards and other international standards in humanitarian operations
• Demonstrated understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms at the field level and the international humanitarian system, including but not limited to donor funding mechanisms, understanding emerging models of partnering between NGOs and government/international organisations, and Localisation.
• Proven track record in program/project management, including experience in field monitoring, remote monitoring and reporting
• Experience in delivering training, resource development and capacity building, especially in a multicultural context
• Knowledge of international organisations, DFAT, AHP and ANCP an advantage 
• Able to work creatively and independently with the ability to achieve outcomes under pressure 
• Able to travel up 20-30% of the time including travel to fragile contexts as per the geographic portfolio. Willingness to participate in HEAT/personal security training.
