This is the role where you get to make your mark on this planet. As manager of our Climate Action & Resilience Team, you’ll lead skilled and passionate technical specialists implementing world-leading climate solutions improving the lives of millions of vulnerable children and their communities.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Strategically support World Vision Australia and the World Vision International Partnership to deliver impact targets for Field Offices including leading and contributing to the key initiatives of World Vision Australia’s Climate Change strategic priority.
  • Manage a team of technical advisors that support business development and field program implementation to deliver optimal program quality, performance and evidence of impact, and build Field Office capacity.
  • Drive the evolution and development of impact focused program models to enhance the lives of the most vulnerable children and their families and ensure they are more resilient to economic, conflict and climate shocks through strengthened absorptive, adaptive and transformative capacity.
  • Present and promote World Vision’s Climate Action & Resilience programs to private and institutional donors.
  • Be a thought leader to challenge and drive new thinking at World Vision and among local and international stakeholders to identify opportunities to influence policy, seek funding and form new partnerships.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone with proven leadership capabilities who has excellent relationship building experience and can work cross functionally to build out a vision with others. You will drive innovation and new approaches to achieving impact.

You will have:

  • 5-10 years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in diverse teams
  • Experience working in developing country/resource-constrained contexts
  • Experience in a program development/business development function           
  • An excellent understanding of resilience building and climate action approaches
  • The ability to appropriately commission, interpret, and apply research and evaluation activities
  • The ability to influence strategies and plans of partners; both World Vision entities and external partners
  • A degree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. science, business, economics, international development)
