Rural Workforce Agency NT (RWA NT) are partnering with Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation (Miwatj Health) to find a Chronic Disease Remote Area Nurse to join their passionate team in Milingimbi Northern Territory. 

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal-controlled health service with clinics across East Arnhem Land who are dedicated to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in East Arnhem communities. With eight established clinics and growing, Miwatj Health provides health care services for over 6,000 Indigenous residents. 

Being successful in the role you will be able to provide high quality, holistic and culturally safe chronic disease health management in association with Aboriginal Health Practitioners and Community Workers.

You will also support and maintain the Chronic Disease register/recall database, provide advocacy and support for chronic disease self-management and ensure all chronic disease clients have a current GP Management Plan.

What Do You Need To Apply?

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 5 years broad nursing experience post-registration 
• 3 years working as a Remote Area Nurse experienced working in a Chronic Disease program
• Advanced Life Support certificate (ALS)
• Remote Emergency Care certificate (REC)
• Current Manual drivers licence
• Current Police Records and NT Working with Children clearances
• Current About Giving Vaccines certificate or willing to obtain 
• Knowledge of Yolngu culture and Yolngu language skills highly regarded
