Due to the global spread of COVID-19, and the additional pressure being faced by our health services as a result, Rural Workforce Agency NT (RWA NT) are inviting expressions of interest from Darwin based GPs who want to be part of the NT's clinical response to COVID-19.
A Pandemic Fever Clinic is being established at the Royal Darwin Hospital site. The Pandemic Fever Clinic GP will be part of the clinical team being led by infectious diseases physicians, with support from Top End Health Service Public Health Unit.
Ideally, we would welcome a GP available to work full time for the term of this project, however in recognition of the fact that a number of our health services may already be at capacity, we understand that GPs wanting to be a part of this response team may have limited ability to commit. For that reason, we have flexibility around applicants' availability and would be able to negotiate or discuss as needed.
This is a rare opportunity to work as part of a pandemic response team in the provision of frontline support to your community.
The Royal Darwin Hospital Infectious Disease and Public Health teams would welcome and support you in joining a team committed to combat this emerging viral infection. Remuneration arrangements will be negotiated.
If you require further information regarding this role, please contact Dr Jane Davies or Dr Catherine Marshall from the Top End Health Service, via the RDH switchboard on 8922 8888.
If you have any further questions, please contact Barbara on 08 8982 1010.
