Rural workforce Agency are partnering with Wurli Wurlinjang Aborignal Health Service (Wurli) to find a General Practitioner to join their committed team in Katherine, Northern Territory. 

Wurli is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that delivers primary health care services to the Aboriginal people in Katherine and the surrounding communities. Wurli delivers a range of services to their clinics which include main clinic for acute and general care, Gudbinji Chronic Disease Clinic, Binjari Health Centre, Women and Children's Health and Men's Health.

As the successful General Practitioner you will be able to provide quality medical services whilst observing culturally appropriate evidence-based care, and work with a passionate team of health professionals to ensure all policies and procedures are met and sustained.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide health assessments, diagnosis and treatment services
  • Develop management plans around acute and chronic illness
  • Provide high quality emergency care as required
  • Encourage clients, their families and community to be a part of optimising health care
  • Work collaboratively with other health professionals, to deliver best health care outcomes

What You Need to Apply:

  • Australian Medical degree
  • Specialist AHPRA registration General Practitioner with RACGP or ACCRM
  • Accredited GP Registrar Supervisor status highly regarded
  • National Police Records Check and Working with Children Clearance
  • Current Northern Territory Driver's License
  • Current Indemnity Insurance
