Rural Workforce Agency NT (RWA NT) are partnering with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress) to find a female General Practitioner to join their dedicated team in their Alukura Women’s clinic.
Congress is an Aboriginal community controlled health service providing comprehensive primary health care services to Aboriginal people in Alice Springs and across five remote Aboriginal communities in Central Australia.
Alukura is a woman’s only, comprehensive primary health care service that aims to improve maternal and birth outcomes. Alukura is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of midwives, women’s health nurse, General Practitioners, aboriginal liaison officers, client service officers, drivers and a visiting obstetrician/gynaecologist to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Islander women in Central Australia.
Being successful in the role, you will be involved in the management of all aspects of women’s health including gynaecological conditions, contraception, cervical screening, STI screening and pre-pregnancy care. You will also be involved in providing chronic disease care, health checks, preventative health care, health promotion and routine general practice consultations.
