Woodville Alliance (WA) is a not-for-profit community organisation based in Western Sydney and working primarily in Fairfield, Bankstown and Auburn. Woodville Alliance is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Child Care Centre. We are seeking Diploma or Certificate III qualified casual workers to join our vibrant team. We believe the primary objective of an Early Childhood Educator is to work cooperatively within a team in providing quality Early Childhood Education and Care for our diverse local community whilst ensuring that the policies, procedures and values of Woodville Alliance and our Carramar Childcare Centre are observed and implemented.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Engage effectively with children and contribute to the play-based learning environment led by the Centre’s Teaching Director
  • Assist in planning and implementation of educational programs consistent with the national Early Years Learning Framework and the diverse needs of children attending the centre and their families
  • Ensure a welcoming and positive learning environment for all children and their diverse needs, including children with additional needs
  • Develop networks and relationships with local community contacts and other service providers
  • Contribute to the positive marketing of the centre
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for children, visitors and staff in the workplace
  • Develop effective communication through positive partnerships with families at the centre.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

To be considered for this role the Candidate must have:

  1. Certificate III qualified or Diploma qualified in Early Childhood Education
  2. A current First Aid Certificate
  3. Previous experience in working as an Early Childhood Educator/Child Care Worker
  4. Strong written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated focus on families

To be considered for this role, you are required to complete a National Police Check as well as providing your Working with Children check number for verification. Rosters will be released fortnightly however successful candidates will have their own transport and be able to attend shifts on short notice when needed.

Please note, it is a requirement that our childcare workers are photographed daily to display their work activities with the children at our centre. This is to enable parents and carers to view their child’s daily activity.
