Women’s Legal Service Victoria relies upon an exception under the Equal Opportunity Act to employ women only.
Reporting to the Director of Legal and Policy, the purpose of the senior social worker role is to provide social work support and advocacy for disadvantaged women experiencing family violence or relationship breakdown, with a particular focus on women experiencing financial hardship following family violence.
The social worker will work collaboratively with our lawyers and financial counsellors to assist individual clients and to contribute to the development of policy and systems in the interests of women and the children in their care.
This is a part time (minimum of 0.6EFT) to full time position (negotiable) over a two year contract.
