ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our Evidence and Impact Unit in the delivery of GenWest’s social impact program.

The position contributes to GenWest’s evaluation projects in gender equity and family violence to understand the difference our services/ programs make to the lives of clients and participants. This includes undertaking research and evaluation activities, as well as supporting the formulation of policy advice and GenWest’s advocacy asks.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the collecting and collating of relevant information, such as from the ABS, the Women’s Health Atlas, the census and local sources, regarding women in the western metropolitan region
  • Assist with the preparation of written research reports
  • Undertake discrete research projects
  • Help design qualitative and quantitative research tools
  • Provide preliminary analysis on evaluation findings
  • Develop content for written materials, like guides and tools
  • Support the dissemination of evaluation findings, research reports and other material to internal and external audiences.

The position is available on a part-time (0.6 EFT), 6 month fixed term contract and is paid at GenWest EA Level 4, pay point negotiable dependent on experience (ranges from $74,179 - $79,810) pro rata EFT + 10% superannuation.
