About Women’s Health West

Women’s Health West provides specialist family violence services to women and their children. We also run prevention programs that promote equity and justice for women and girls in Melbourne’s west.

Our work has actively contributed to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of women and their children in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne since 1988. Due to several successful internal appointments to secondment positions in 2020, we are now recruiting to the role of Assistant – Communications.

About the role

The Assistant – Communications supports the Communications team at Women’s Health West by performing administrative and communications-focused tasks. This will include monitoring the organisation’s digital presence with social media posts and managing the comms inbox. This role will be available for 6 months from the date of appointment with the possibility of extension. Over the next 6 months, the role will also contribute to and support the design, promotion and delivery of resources, events and the organisation’s rebranding. As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a high degree of competence with a range of software programs.

The Assistant – Communications reports to the Manager – Communications and is paid at WHW EA Level 3, pay point is negotiable dependent on experience (60K – 64K per annum pro rata EFT 0.8).
