Womens Health & Family Services specialises in women’s health issues, providing medical, counselling, alcohol and other drug support, domestic violence, mental health and other health services for women and their families. The programs and services at Womens Health & Family Services are open to all West Australian women and their families, with consideration made for the unique needs of Aboriginal, migrant and refugee families.
Womens Health & Family Services is seeking a suitably qualified Aboriginal Counsellor. This position will be based in Joondalup, Wanneroo and Northbridge, with outreach locations as required.
This position is for 4 days per week, with an hourly rate starting from $40.64 - $42.48, dependant on experience, with attractive salary sacrifice entitlements and superannuation in a dynamic family friendly organisation and is available for immediate start.
This position is responsible to the Aboriginal Client Services Manager. The role involves providing counselling support to at risk Aboriginal women and their families which may include individual, couples, family outreach and group approaches as well as development and delivery of education training programs and/or workshops with focus on culturally secure approaches.

It is desirable for applicants to meet the 50D Exemption requirement; however applications will be considered if applicants prove to have cultural competency and have experience working with Aboriginal communities.
