  • Based at OneLink in Belconnen and CYPS offices
  • Salary range $79,174 - $82,742 p.a. (depending on qualifications and experience) plus superannuation and salary packaging

This is an exciting role working across both Woden Community Service (WCS) OneLink and the Child and Youth Protection Service (CYPS). WCS is in partnership with CYPS to facilitate community support to assist families divert from the statutory child protection system through consistent, high quality and responsive support facilitation.

If you have experience working in a trauma informed and strengths based framework, and hold tertiary qualifications, this is an opportunity to make a difference for young people and families in our community.

About the role

  • Assist in the diversion of children, young people and their families from the statutory child and youth protection system
  • Provide a case consultation role to OneLink on matters where there is child abuse and neglect
  • Build the child protection and youth justice expertise within OneLink, Housing ACT, Child Youth and Family Support Program (CYFSP) and other non-government organisations
  • Perform a cross sector coordination role to enhance collaboration between OneLink, CYFSP and CYPS

Experience and skills

  • Minimum Degree qualification in Social Work or a relevant field
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience working in the child protection area and/or with families/young people
  • Demonstrated ability to use strengths based practises, person centred approaches and trauma informed practise.
  • Ability to implement the appropriate CYPS and OneLink practise framework principles.
