The WNSW PHN is one of 31 Primary Health Networks across Australia established by the Australian Government to support frontline health services. Our focus is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of primary health care, ensuring people receive the right care in the right place at the right time. To achieve this, we work closely with general practice, Aboriginal Medical Services and other health care providers, Local Health Districts, non-government organisations and the broader community.
This position oversees the Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) primary care, population health and other data sets to inform data-driven service planning. A key responsibility being to deliver quality analysis and reporting of health outcomes to increase the effectiveness of WNSW PHN’s programs. This will involve innovative communication of key health data using business intelligence tools, preparing reports and communicating advice to the Board, Executive Management Team and partner organisations. This role requires organisational leadership in data governance and management as well as supporting data systems.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Strategy, Engagement & Performance, the Manager Data supports relationships with commissioned service providers, primary health care professionals, general practice and Aboriginal medical services.
This role leads the development of key data sharing and health information projects through strategic partnerships with external and internal stakeholders on a state and national level.
WNSW PHN has a strong focus and commitment to addressing Aboriginal health inequality across the region and your commitment to the values of improving Aboriginal outcomes is highly valued. These roles will work closely with relevant internal staff and commissioned services providers to facilitate the adoption and implementation of the Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) Cultural Safety and Clinical Governance Frameworks.
The position can be based in our Orange, Dubbo or Bathurst office.
