About Western Health Alliance Ltd (WHAL) trading as Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) 

The WNSW PHN is one of 31 Primary Health Networks across Australia established by the Australian Government to support frontline health services. Our focus is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of primary health care, ensuring people receive the right care in the right place at the right time. To achieve this, we work closely with general practice, Aboriginal Medical Services and other health care providers, Local Health Districts, non-government organisations and the broader community. 

The Role

The Digital Health Support Officer is a key administration role in development and implementing of digital health technology strategies and projects, in partnership with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, with the goal of improving health-related primary healthcare outcomes for consumers and clinicians across the Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSWPHN) region. 

The Digital Health Support Officer will work closely and collaboratively with the Practice Support and Improvement team, Primary Health Care Professionals and General Practices within the WNSWPHN area to:

  • Promote the adoption of Digital Health technologies for primary health care professionals.
  • Promote the introduction and implementation of the electronic health record program. 
  • Educate healthcare providers with key knowledge of the My Health Record and the benefits of the adoption of the My Health Record System.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice regarding matters associated with the digital health portfolio.

WNSW PHN has a strong focus and commitment to addressing Aboriginal health inequality across the region and your commitment to the values of improving Aboriginal outcomes is highly valued. These roles will work closely with relevant internal staff and commissioned services providers to facilitate the adoption and implementation of the Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) Cultural Safety and Clinical Governance Frameworks. 

The position can be based in our Bathurst, Orange or Dubbo office.
