As we embark on a journey of growth, Uniting has developed a strategic plan and vision to accelerate and grow our community housing portfolio across Victoria and Tasmania. Part of this vision is to become one of the largest faith-based community housing agencies in Victoria and Tasmania.
As a key part of this exciting growth, Uniting has created a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Property Development professional to join the leadership team and influence and shape the strategic direction of the way we grow the social housing portfolio. You will work on stimulating and diverse projects while contributing to the community in a meaningful way.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving the property development agenda for Uniting. Your role will be varied and includes strategic and project planning, stakeholder engagement, securing funding, project management, acquisition and divestment.
Based in Melbourne’s CBD or metro area, this position provides a significant career opportunity with an employer of choice. A generous salary and benefits package is on offer, including salary packaging.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in property development, is an exceptional communicator, negotiator and influencer and has a personal commitment to increasing the provision of social and affordable housing in Victoria and Tasmania.
You are excited about the start-up nature of the new division and the prospect of shaping the strategic direction of property development for Uniting. You love a role that is varied, stimulating and challenging and you think outside the box to overcome challenges.
You are highly motivated and ambitious to meet growth targets, have a comprehensive understanding of the development sector within Australia and demonstrate strong financial acumen. You have a natural ability to establish, lead, coach and inspire teams of varying size and complexity.
In addition, you hold a tertiary qualification in property, project management, architecture, engineering or a related discipline with several years’ experience OR a less formal qualification coupled with extensive and specialist experience.
You are a values-driven, inspirational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
