About the opportunity

As we embark on a journey of growth Uniting has developed a strategic plan and vision to accelerate and grow their community housing portfolio across Victoria and Tasmania. Part of this vision is to become one of the largest faith-based community housing agencies in Victoria and Tasmania.

As a key part of this exciting growth Uniting has established a Housing & Property division and a fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Manager, Housing Services to join the leadership team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible to co-ordinate place-based tenancy teams and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery. We have a diverse portfolio of 700 tenancies located across Victoria and Tasmania with plans to grow by 45% over the next 3 years.

Based in Melbourne (office location to be negotiated) you will be required to travel to multiple sites across Vic and Tas. About you

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the community housing sector or equivalent with a comprehensive understanding of the current trends, practices, policies and legislation relevant to to the sector.

You are an exceptional communicator, leader and influencer. You have a natural ability to establish, lead, coach and inspire teams of varying size and complexity and are prepared to travel to regional offices located in Ballarat, Horsham, Wangaratta, Sale and Hobart as required.

You love a role that is varied, stimulating and challenging and you think outside the box to improve business processes and systems. You have great attention to detail and understand the risk, compliance and reporting requirements in the sector.
