We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Family Services Practitioner to join our Family Services Program. The program supports families who are experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life and children’s well being. Responding to referrals from Child FIRST/The Orange Door, the program provides assertive outreach and home based supports.
This newly established position will coordinate all aspects of referral, entry, engagement and allocation of cases from Child FIRST/The Orange Door. The Senior Practitioner will undertake risk and needs assessments, deliver short term case management and provide an active holding function to children and families who are referred to the Family Services Program. Working collaboratively with Child Protection, the Senior Practitioner will support families to enhance parenting capacity, family functioning and promote child safety.
