About the opportunity

The Family Violence Case Management Program is an 8 week intervention model based on risk and need. Delivering child-centred and family focused services, the program aims to address the impact and well-being for women and children who are experiencing family violence. 

As a Case Manager you will support children and families with:

  • Initial and ongoing risk and needs assessments
  • Family Action Plans and Safety Plans
  • Intensive short term case management
  • Determining their options and identifying relevant service pathways

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated case management experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector
  • A family-centered and strengths-based case practice approach
  • An understanding of the dynamics of family violence and its impact on women and children
  • Demonstrated understanding of a range of theoretical approaches relevant to working with children, young people and families, including the Common Risk Assessment Framework (CRAF) and the Best Interests Framework
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
