About the opportunity

There is potential to continue full time subject to funding. The position is comprised of two roles; Family Services Practitioner (4 days per week, ongoing), and Family Support Worker for the School Attendance Support Program (SASP) (1 day per week, max term).

The Family Services program supports families who are experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life and children’s well being. Family Services Practitioners respond to referrals from Child FIRST and provide home based supports through assertive outreach.

SASP is an innovative program in government primary schools within City of Casey and Cardinia Shire. The program supports at-risk young people to engage in education, with the aim of improving school attendance and facilitating student, family, school and community integration.
