About the opportunity

We are looking for qualified Early Learning Educators to join our team at the Pilgrim Early Learning Centre in Launceston. Your role will be to:

  • Plan, implement, assess and review a quality and diverse educational program, based on an approved curriculum framework
  • Support the promotion of children’s agency, choice and influence so the program meets interests and abilities of each child
  • In collaboration with other teachers/leaders document and participate in analysing children’s learning in line with the approved curriculum framework
  • Provide a safe and stimulating physical environment where all children are protected from harm or hazards
  • Develop and maintain respectful, supportive, collaborative and responsive relationships with children and their families

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education, or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority)
  • Appropriate training as prescribed in the Education Care Services National Regulations, including first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma management
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development
  • Sound administration skills to support the success of the team
  • Demonstrated success in working in a collaborative team environment where cooperation, flexibility and competence work towards achieving a high quality service.
  • Ability to create stakeholder networks that support and contribute towards the ongoing success of the service
