About the opportunity

This role will fill gaps in programs resulting primarily from staff vacancies and minimise the need to rely on locum agency staff. The Case Worker will be allocated to programs such as Child FIRST, Integrated Family services, Families First, Kinship Care and Stronger Families. The worker will spend between 6 weeks and up to 3 months in any one role based on program needs.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or a related discipline
  • Extensive demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing intake, casework and case management and out of home care services with vulnerable children, young people and their families/carers
  • Highly developed adaptive interpersonal communication skills including the ability to engage and empower others
  • Ability to be self-reliant, motivated and accountable in managing multiple tasks and meeting timelines and targets
  • Strong ability to network and establish sound working relationships with related services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) skills
