About the opportunity

We have an opportunity available for a Carer Recruitment Officer to join our Home Based Care program. The position is part time working 45.6 hours per fortnight, on a three year maximum term contract.

The Carer Recruitment & Support Worker will:

  • Drive intensive carer recruitment activities
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of marking strategies for recruiting carers
  • Coordinate events and promotional activities for potential foster carers
  • Support accreditation and assessment of foster carers and lead tenants
  • Provide supervision, training and support to carers

About you

To be successful in your application you will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Youth Work or equivalent (essential)
  • A tertiary degree in social work, marketing, communications or related fields (desirable)
  • Previous experience in marketing or communications fields (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and young people who have experienced past trauma
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive case files, consumer records and reports in accordance with program requirements
