We are currently seeking an experienced AOD Support Worker to join our existing team adult residential withdrawal unit located in Ivanhoe.
This is a 24/7 unit with 3 shifts, morning, afternoon and night (stand up). You must be able to work across all of these shifts including night shift.
In this position you will contribute to the provision of a safe and hospitable environment for clients voluntarily seeking withdrawal from the acute use of alcohol and/or other drugs. Working with a Registered Nurse, you will actively support clients to achieve their individual treatment plans; you will supervise and provide assistance with daily living activities, and facilitate and encourage client participation in program activities.

To be successful you will have as a minimum Certificate IV in AOD or relevant qualifications in a health/welfare related discipline and have or be willing to undertake the key competencies in AOD and dual diagnosis. You will require a current Victorian driver’s license and experience working with clients with problematic drug and/or alcohol use. You must be available and willing to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
