About the opportunity

The AOD Counsellor provides support to reduce AOD related harms to individuals and their families by conducting assessments and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their family members to change harmful behaviours and increase their capacity to effectively manage the problems they are experiencing associated with AOD use and promote recovery

About you

We are looking for a skilled Counsellor who is enthusiastic, energetic and confident and works well in a team environment. To be successful in the role you will have tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, nursing or other relevant allied health discipline.  It is expected that the applicant will have Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs Work or required competencies in AOD, qualifications in dual diagnosis or willingness to undertake, as well as demonstrated experience working with AOD or dual diagnosis clients.
