Are you passionately committed to keeping people safe at work? Do you value people and have a track record of success in leading excellence in organisational WHS and Workers’ Compensation Management? If so you may be the person we’re looking for.
Wesley Mission is a high profile, multi-faceted Christian organisation making a real difference in the community. We work with the most disadvantaged people in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services.
Our Vision is “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”
This position is crucial for helping us keep our people safe. The purpose of the role is to lead the WHS and workers’ compensation portfolio, including the WHS framework, ensuring the continuous development and improvement of safe systems of work, effective consultation and training, WHS audits and risk assessments, proactive injury management, WHS and workers’ compensation reporting and policies and procedures. You are an exceptional WHS leader, a confident and collaborative subject matter expert who is fully committed to excellence in WHS and can positively influence others to embrace safe ways of working as a way of doing business. In addition to being a leader you are willing to roll your sleeves up to get involved in operational WHS and injury management matters and also advise on these whenever needed.
Salary and employment conditions are commensurate with experience and qualifications, with salary packaging available including private and business use of a fully maintained vehicle.
Wesley Mission is a Christian organisation requiring all staff to affirm its values. We are committed to providing an environment in which children can feel safe and valued.
