About the role

The Trainee Program Administrator plays an integral role in ensuring the programs provided by Wesley Community Centres run efficiently and effectively. Key tasks include responding to the growing and diverse administrative needs of programs falling under the Wesley Community Centres' umbrella. This includes ensuring a positive first point of contact for clients and utilising Wesley Mission's client relationship management system (CRM) in order to maintain our, tell your story once philosophy and to ensure all clients receive the service they need in a timely manner.

With the support and guidance of our Program Administrator, this role will provide opportunity to develop skills and knowledge through on the job learning, whilst completing formal studies.

Wesley Mission provides regular supervision and support for all staff as well as range of opportunities for professional development and staff benefits. This is a child-related position and preferred applicants will be required to undergo a Working with Children Check and criminal record history check.

Essential criteria

  • Currently studying Cert III or above a community service related course
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service skills, happy and welcoming
  • Empathy and good listening skills
  • Skills in utilising data systems and client records (eg CRM)
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
  • Ability to exercise discretion/confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to meet deadlines, take appropriate initiative and be accountable
  • Current Working with Children Check.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience in the not for profit sector.

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 3, with capacity for salary packaging. Superannuation is paid in addition at 9.5%.
