About the role

The Service Manager has the responsibility for managing the service delivery to clients within a number of group homes located across Sydney and an outreach program providing in-home support services to people with a disability within our community. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the provision of high-quality services, care and supports that promote the emotional, social and behavioural needs and goals of our clients
  • Ensure safe, homely and supportive environments are provided for our clients
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive client care
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of each house/service
  • Provide leadership, support, supervision and mentoring to a team of disability support workers
  • Oversight of budget management and client billing
  • Ongoing management of Restrictive Practices and Reportable Incidents.

Essential criteria

  • Management/Leadership qualification or relevant experience
  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the disability sector
  • Demonstrated experience in working with people with complex care needs
  • Proven organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and change management
  • Experience in leading and developing a team for high-quality performance.

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (Level 6) and with generous salary packaging benefits available.
