About the role

The Service Manager has the responsibility for managing service delivery to clients within a number of group homes located across Sydney and an outreach program providing in-home support services to people with a disability within our community.

The Service Manager will work collaboratively to improve and develop the service to ensure they provide individualised high-quality supports which promote clients’ health along with their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs and goals.

Essential criteria

  • Frontline Management qualification
  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated experience in working with people with a disability
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Working knowledge of the National Disability Standards and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Experience in managing and developing a team for superior performance
  • Proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and budgets
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and change management
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to WHS, risk management and quality improvement practices
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Working with Children Check.

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (Level 6) with generous salary packaging benefits available.
