About the program

Wesley Mission has a long and proud history as a premier Out-of-Home Care provider in NSW. We have exciting opportunities for energetic and passionate professionals across the Central Coast and Hunter area.

We are currently seeking an individual to join our friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and experienced team in Tuggerah. We are seeking someone who has a passion for enriching the lives of children in Out of Home Care. You will be responsible in providing casework support to children, young people, and their families. This role requires the ability to show empathy and maintain confidentiality along with contributing to a positive culture of learning and growth in a challenging environment.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Social Work/ Social Sciences or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain functional and supportive relationships with children and young people and their families in order to reach positive outcomes
  • Coach, mentor and provide guidance to parents/carers in the provision of care to children
  • High level interpersonal skills; including the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders; and contribute effectively autonomously and within a team environment
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working within the OOHC or Child Protection sector.

Remuneration

The agency provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development. Salary and conditions of employment are based on the Social Community Home Care and Disability Award (Level 5 / Pay Point 1).
