About the role

Wesley Mission has a long-established history in providing Out of Home Care (OOHC) across NSW. We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated enthusiastic professional to take up the role of Case Manager at our Tuggerah premises. This position offers challenging and rewarding opportunities to work with children, birth parents and foster carers, as well as involvement in the recruitment, assessment and training of new carers.

Regular supervision and support for all staff as well as opportunities for professional development will be provided. We will also be creating an eligibility list for future vacancies.

The position comes with a fully maintained vehicle and generous salary package options.

Essential criteria

• degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related discipline
• current unrestricted driver’s licence
• demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard with excellent verbal and written skills
• experience working with children and families and/or in the OOHC field with the ability to relate well to a range of people with sound listening, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• ability to work as a part of a team and independently
• flexible working hours including some evenings and weekends

Desirable criteria

• 12 months or more experience in Out of Home Care Case Management
• knowledge of therapeutic frameworks
• demonstrated conflict-resolution skills and experience managing difficult behaviours.
• experience in writing court reports including affidavits
