About the role

Wesley Mission is seeking a Family Coach to join the Wesley Dalmar Family Preservation team. The position offers challenging and rewarding opportunities to work with children and birth parents on the Mid North Coast. Using a family-centred practice philosophy the role will support the development of parenting skills and enhance parent-child interactions, child development and health and safety using an active learning approach in the home. The Family Coach will work closely with the Department of Communities and Justice and intensively with 5-6 identified families.

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related discipline
  • Previous experience providing family support to children and families
  • Availability to work flexible working hours including some evenings
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard
  • Experience in Case Management.

Remuneration

Wesley Mission provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development. Salary and conditions of employment are based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award, Level 5, with generous salary packaging opportunities and a fully maintained vehicle.
