About the role

We are looking for an experienced Digital Fundraising Officer with demonstrable experience in developing and delivering successful digitally led fundraising campaigns across different channels.

This role is responsible for ensuring the continued growth and retention of Wesley Mission’s donors and supporters through strategic digital fundraising campaigns and communications to secure increased financial support in line with the budget.

The Digital Fundraising Officer is responsible for delivering our acquisition and lead generation programs, building our supporter base through a variety of sources, and running on-boarding programs to nurture and convert our supporters into donors. This role also encompasses the digital component of all appeals and regular giving conversion campaigns.

The successful candidate will have

  • relevant degree or qualification in digital fundraising/communications/marketing or related field OR minimum 2 years’ experience in digital fundraising
  • demonstrated experience in digital fundraising preferably in another charity, utilising digital channels for lead acquisition/supporter growth
  • demonstrated experience in financial management processes including budgeting, forecasting, planning income and controlling expenses to achieve required net surplus
  • demonstrated strong knowledge of current fundraising trends,
  • knowledge of the fundraising environment, trends, social media/ digital platforms, relevant legislation & industry best practice
  • understanding of email marketing, social media and digital tracking and analytics tools
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • enthusiasm, drive and a positive approach to problem solving
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • highly computer literate with Word, PowerPoint & Excel skills, able to produce management and business reports
  • experience in databases or CRM (ideally ThankQ)
  • ability to demonstrate a high-level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion and to work independently and across teams
  • experience in managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve set objectives
  • proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and budgets
  • outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships with donors, supporters and other Wesley Mission stakeholders
  • full NSW driver’s license
