About the role

Wesley Mission is seeking a Case Manager to join the Wesley Dalmar Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) team. The position offers challenging and rewarding opportunities to work with children, birth parents and foster carers, as well as involvement in the recruitment, assessment and training of new carers.

Wesley Mission provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development.

Essential criteria

• Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related discipline
• Experience working with children and families and/or in the OOHC field with the ability to relate well to a range of people whilst demonstrating sound listening, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Experience in Case Management
• Availability to work flexible working hours including some evenings and weekends
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence

Desirable criteria

• At least 12 months' experience in OOHC Case Management
• Knowledge of Therapeutic Frameworks
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and experience managing difficult behaviours.
• Experience in writing court reports including affidavits

Remuneration

Salary and conditions of employment are based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 5, with generous salary packaging opportunities and fully maintained vehicle.
