About the role

The position will work within a multidisciplinary team. The Senior Solicitor will be responsible for the provision of high quality legal assistance and casework services in family law, child protection, migration and minor criminal law matters. These services will be provided to women who have fled or are fleeing situations of domestic and family violence.

As WLSSA is a state-wide service, some intrastate travel may be required. The position is full-time and will be located at the Adelaide office of WLSSA.

Skills & Experience

We are seeking a Senior Solicitor with:

  • Minimum of 5 years post admission experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable groups of women including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, culturally and linguistically diverse women and women living with a disability
  • Demonstrated understanding of the legal system and domestic/family violence, as it affects women living in metropolitan, rural, regional and remote areas of South Australia
