Warddeken Land Management Ltd is seeking an adventurous and highly motivated ecologist to join our team in delivering world class land management outcomes across the Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area (IPA).

The Mayh Recovery Officer will be at the forefront of conservation in Australia, leading the ongoing development and implementation of our IPA wide environmental mayh (animal) recovery and monitoring program that incorporates both western and Indigenous knowledge systems. The successful applicant will have a strong desire to live and work in a remote environment and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to collaborating with Indigenous rangers and Landowners to manage and monitor the extraordinary natural and cultural values of the West Arnhem Land Plateau.

Our ideal candidate will be highly practical, independently motivated and passionate about working with Indigenous people and caring for country.

This position will involve a significant amount of travel within the Warddeken IPA and require the successful applicant to spend much time camping and working independently away from base.
