Manmoyi Male Ranger Program Coordinator - West Arnhem Land

Warddeken Land Management Limited

Warddeken Land Management was established in 2007 by Nawarddeken elders, whose vision was to see healthy people living and working on their healthy country in the kuwarddewardde (stone country of west Arnhem Land).

An exciting opportunity exists for the right candidate to join our team and work alongside Traditional Owners to achieve this vision. Based at our Manmoyi ranger base, the successful applicant will work across a range of environmental and cultural programs, assisting Warddeken Land Management to deliver world-class results for the country and people of the Arnhem Land Plateau.

The Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area covers 14,000 square kilometers of rugged sandstone escarpments, including the Northern Territory’s most biodiverse environments. The region is exceptional in its natural and cultural values, and breathtaking in its beauty. The lifestyle in this extraordinarily remote part of the world is fantastic, and the work challenging yet rewarding.

The Manmoyi Male Ranger Coordinator will work together with rangers from the Manmoyi base to support the delivery of a range of environmental and cultural programs under the Warddeken IPA Plan of Management. Our ideal candidate is highly practical, adventurous, independently motivated and must be passionate about working with Indigenous people and caring for country.

This position will involve a significant amount of travel within the Warddeken IPA and require the successful applicant to spend much time camping and working independently away from base.
