ABOUT WISHIN

WISHIN delivers a unique service offering for Melbourne’s northern region. We provide gender-specific support to women, with or without children, experiencing housing crisis. We work with the intersecting issues of gender, homelessness and family violence.

WISHIN works in partnership with a range of local, regional and state-wide organisations across the community sector to facilitate access and ensure quality services for our clients, advocate for change and increase our impact.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a coach to deliver our evidence-based Empower pilot program in 2021.

This is a new role and is offered at 0.8 EFT until December 2021.

In the role you will:

  • Finalise project tools and coordinate the first program intake
  • Provide coaching and mentoring with women to develop goals and actions across life domains, including the areas of family, health and wellbeing, financial wellbeing and career
  • Build network and referral pathways with local community providers
  • Actively engage with women and stakeholders to develop and evaluate the program

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, community development or the equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and experience of feminist informed, intersectionality and trauma informed frameworks of practice
  • Previous experience working with women using a capacity building approach
  • Experience in program development and evaluation
  • Motivational interviewing experience would be an asset
