Employment Consultant (Diversity)

WISE Employment

For over 27 years, we've been inspiring, transforming and empowering people with a disability by connecting them with employers who care. Each year, we help more than 12,000 people on the path to self-sufficiency through meaningful work.

At WISE, we believe that our entire community benefits when everyone can achieve their potential.

We’re on the hunt for a new superstar, for a role that will support and help improve the lives of members of the LGBTIQA+ Community. The role will assist them back into work with employers who care and want to make an impact.

Joining us as an Employment Consultant (Diversity), you will:

  • Be tasked to build your caseload and create the path for the role by connecting and building relationships with LGBTQIA+ organisations and helping people with a disability into meaningful and supportive employment.
  • Provide a game-changing customer experience.
  • Prepare your customers for work through job search support, training, work experience and other vocational activities.
  • Strive to achieve excellent results by creating opportunities for your customers' not just back into work but with other support across the wider community.
  • Generate new and repeat business through the creation and maintenance of positive customer relationships.
  • Work closely with customers and employers to find and place people in a role that matches and supports them.

Working at our Darlinghurst office and surrounding suburbs, you will be a valued member of the WISE family, who will support you in making the role a success. You will receive a competitive remuneration package and access to a suite of staff benefits, which include:

  • Company mobile phone and laptop
  • Not for profit Salary packaging
  • Reward and recognition initiatives
  • One paid day of diversity leave per annum (after 12 months service)
  • Ability to purchase one additional week of annual leave per annum
  • Ongoing focus on your learning and development

This is a full-time maximum term contract position to 30 June 2023 aligned to our funding arrangement.
