WIRES is looking for a talented Program Coordinator to join our team and oversee the efficient management of major projects and programs to assist wildlife.

Working closely with the broader team and a wide range of key stakeholders, the Program Coordinator’s role is focused on assisting with the development, implementation and ongoing optimisation of new programs, campaigns and projects, and developing long-term relationships to facilitate the growth of the organisation.

The role will start as a 12 month full-time position, which has the potential to be extended.

The role is expected to be a mix of office based work in Brookvale and work from home.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Assisting with the development and launch of new programs, campaigns and projects
  • Managing the ongoing coordination of key programs and projects, to meet key deadlines on time and on budget
  • Overseeing regular communication and engagement with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Supporting the expansion of existing programs to assist higher numbers of wildlife

Key competencies include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, communications or the environment (desirable)
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in previous roles
  • Highly organised, reliable, efficient & detail orientated with excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude & ability to work in a team and manage a wide range of stakeholders
  • Passionate about animal welfare and improving outcomes for animals
