This is the ideal role for someone passionate about data processing, reconciliation and management, who is keen to use their skills working for a non-profit organisation, to support our programs and projects focused on improving rescue, rehabilitation and recovery outcomes for wildlife.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Importing, exporting, normalising and processing files from third party suppliers, website and online portals
  • Key contributor and co-manager of WIRES database, overseeing the management, maintenance, development, and overall hygiene and integrity of the supporter database
  • Managing data segmentation to ensure accuracy of data extractions and reporting
  • Provide insights on programs and supporter behaviour to help colleagues determine the best targeting strategies
  • Work with colleagues to enhance & increase accurate data capture
  • Ensure compliance with industry and privacy standards and legislation for data collection, sharing and use
  • Work with colleagues to establish and manage robust testing & optimisation plans across all campaigns and activities
  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of the new CRM
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for automation and improved efficiency
  • Provide data, segmentation and reports for the development and implementation of team plans, budgets and programs
  • Provide monthly reporting on all programs and present key updates at management and team meetings

Key Competencies

  • Minimum of three years’ working in the not-for-profit sector preparing data for fundraising and communications programs and managing a database OR minimum of three years’ relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in data processing and database management (ideally in a non-profit organisation)
  • Experience with normalising, importing and reconciling donation files from third party suppliers, website and online portals
  • Expertise with Excel, pivot tables and CRM databases and ability to learn new computer applications quickly
  • Commitment to clear and effective presentation of data and reporting work and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work on own initiative
  • Commitment to WIRES values and interested in protecting Australia’s native animals

We are keen to appoint an excellent candidate ASAP.

We are seeking someone for a 12 month full-time contract, with the potential for extension.

Part-time work may be considered for the right applicant.
