The role has the following key areas of responsibility:

  • Leadership Community awareness & development
  • Planning Health & Safety

A little bit more about the key areas of responsibility. The leadership encompasses the monitoring, management and development of your team through proactive leadership. Identifying and developing community awareness areas by being involved in our current and forth coming community initiatives. Planning and scheduling experience of a previous team would demonstrate to us how you plan everybody’s day while considering all of the Health & Safety aspects of the team and the participants.

You will be able to demonstrate your experience in the following essential criteria areas:

  • Managing, motivating and mentoring a team of CSW’s
  • Supporting people with a disability
  • Commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community
  • Challenging behaviours and the ability to mentor teams in this area
  • Supporting and motivating participants
  • Innovative thinking to ensure participants strive to reach their full potential at all times
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CIMSAbility & Outlook
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
  • Hold a current First Aid certificate
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and relate to people of all levels

We would also like to see:

  • General fitness and ability to complete manual handling tasks
  • Sound administration skills
  • Your flexible attitude & great sense of humour
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and a mature attitude
  • Willingness to subscribe to the Windgap mission and values
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field would be highly regarded.

We are dedicated in supporting our participants to live as independently as possible within our community. The Team Leader role will work with our Community Support Workers (CSW) to ensure the participants of the Day Programs achieve their full potential and reach their individual goals.
