About the role

As a Windermere Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Deliver a broad range of evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings for children;
  • Undertake face to face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools and kindergartens as well as our modern office facilities and therapy spaces;
  • Liaise and collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans; and
  • Provide key worker support and advice to families and children in relation to speaking, listening, understanding language, fluency and social skills.

We are seeking an experienced OT for a 12-month fixed term parental leave position until July 2022. Recognised as a family friendly and flexible workplace environment, we are open to the successful applicant working full-time or part-time (22.8 or 30.4 hours per week). We also offer a hybrid model of working remotely from home and meeting with consumers in their natural surroundings or within our offices in Berwick, Cranbourne and / or Pakenham.

About you

You will have a tertiary qualification within Occupational Therapy and hold a current registration with AHPRA. Furthermore you will have specialist knowledge and relevant demonstrated OT experience within a paediatric practice. You are confident and enthusiastic with a ‘can-do’ attitude. You are self-motivated and can work independently to meet set targets, as well as forming part of a collaborative, family focused and holistic transdisciplinary team. You are adaptable and resilient and thrive in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement of your practice ensures you make a real and lasting difference to the lives of your consumers.
