In association with the Victorian State Government of Health and Human Services, Windermere’s COVID-19 Community Activation & Social Isolation (CASI) Program aims to support residents within East Gippsland who have experienced practical, emotional and social impacts from COVID-19.
The CASI program will provide dedicated support to help affected families access the services and information they need to recover and start rebuilding their lives. As a Community Project Worker, you will aid our consumers in navigating various local and additional support services. You will be responsible for providing initial intake assessment from the COVID-19 1800 number, as well as advocacy, linkage and referrals to local services to consumers based in the East Gippsland region.
In addition, you will engage with East Gippsland Community Services, volunteer groups and other community stakeholders to participate in a Local Support Network to ensure a coordinated local response.
Even though our consumer base reside in East Gippsland, the successful applicant can work remotely from any location within Victoria. This is a part-time position working 30.4 hours per week on a 6-month fixed term contract. The position is perfectly suited for a Support / Social Worker with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a trauma-related program or similar field.
