In association with the Victorian State Government of Health and Human Services and the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), Windermere’s Bush Fire Recovery Service aims to assist community members of North East Victoria and the Gippsland region.
The Victorian Bushfires Case Support Program will provide dedicated support to help affected families access the services and information they need to recover and start rebuilding their lives. As a Recovery Support Worker, you will aid our consumers in navigating various local and additional support services. Working remotely and from our offices in Bairnsdale, you will be responsible for intake assessment, plan development, referrals and advocacy for consumers based in East Gippsland.
Due to the crucial need of such services and the high volume of consumers, we have a full-time fixed term position available until December 2021. This position is perfectly suited for Support Workers with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a trauma related program or similar field.
